I work to educate people about animals and conservation in person and online. Everyone who has ever come to my house, from relatives to maintenance people working on our roof, have had a chance to meet and learn about my blue-tongue skink. I try to achieve my online outreach goals through my social media (and this very website, hecc) and the projects I manage. In real life I work as a zoo educator to fulfill my passion for teaching, and I’m also the head of outreach for the Tropical Fish Breeding Club of Purdue in hopes of teaching my local community about fish care. I strive to not only teach people about animals but to truly connect them to conservation topics through compelling personal stories.
The main reason why I want to grow my online presence is so that I can have a chance to help even more people learn about wildlife and feel empowered to make a significant positive change!
